Andrews is a member of the Appalachian Athletics Conference and is located in the Sandhills region of North Carolina.
The position reports to the Director of Athletics and is a full-time 12 month position.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Day-to-day operations in the sports information office.
Write, edit and disseminate press releases, season previews, hometown news articles and feature stories to various media in compliance with the college's and the NAIA's policies and procedures.
Oversee statistical and press coverage at home athletic contests and disseminate information to local media following home and away contests.
Coordinate, generate and compile statistical databases for all sports.
Design and maintain athletic department website and social media.
Produce departmental promotional materials for 17 intercollegiate sports.
Develop media connections with print, television and radio personnel and serve as spokesperson for athletic department.
Handle weekly and end-of-year score and statistical reporting for the NAIA and Appalachian Athletic Conference.
As well as all end of the year awards.
Serve as conference sports information liaison for selected sports.
Schedule and coordinate photo shoots for teams, coaches and student-athletes, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
The candidate should possess knowledge of NAIA rules, standards, and regulations and dedication to ongoing education.
The position is also responsible for developing effective and positive communication with the students, faculty, alumni, and community.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, master's preferred.
