Production Assistant Manager (Friction Material Plant) FLSA STATUS:

POSITION SUMMARY Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, the Production Assistant Manager will be responsible for the following items.
Must learn and understand all operation process Designing, managing and implementing projects in effort to improve process performance in all areas of the facility.
Oversee and supervise production activities.
Develop, control and implement departmental business plan.
Develop and control cost saving plans such as scrap cost, cycle time, OEE and capacity.
Create production schedules and ensure the production is on schedule.
Maintain proper OEE to meet goals by analyzing issues and implementing countermeasures.
Coordinate with Maintenance to perform PMs on schedule.
Determine and analyze the root cause of quality issues and implement countermeasures.
Departmental personnel management such as hiring, attendance, efficient man power and training.
Assure in-process product quality.
Develop and manage documentation in production such as work standards and check sheets.
Supervise a team of machine operators to achieve the goals and projects set forth.
Provide support when needed to areas of maintenance, procurement and engineering.
Work closely with top management to establish business objectives and budgeting goals that promotes company sustainability.
Ensure compliance with quality management standards such as ISO 9001 The candidate must be self-motivated and able to work under limited supervision.
The candidate must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
The position is first shift, but some overtime and off-shift work may be required.
Some business travel may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS BS Degree preferred Must be computer literate with emphasis on Microsoft Office 5
years of experience in computer work 3 years of experience in manufacturing 3
years of management experience Experience in paper manufacturing is a plus but not required.
Experience as an automotive supplier is a plus but not required.

The plant manufactures friction paper for clutches used in differential and automatic transmission components.
FCC is IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 certified.
